Turbo Chargers
Turbo chargers have evolved greatly
since their introduction in 1925 when a Swiss engineer
successfully "turbo charged" an engine and
gained an incredible boost in power. Since that day,
turbo chargers have threaded their way into the mainstream
and now help power countless automobiles, trucks, airplanes,
marine engines, and more.
Just as they were originally intended,
turbo chargers help boost an engine's performance while
also reducing fuel consumption and wasted power. While
few could doubt the raw power and advantages of turbo
chargers, the investment required to turbo charge an
engine was often prohibitive and therefore limited to
use on commercial ships and airliners.
After the oil crisis in the early 1970's,
investing in a turbo charger made more practical sense
because of the dramatic increase in fuel savings. These
savings, coupled with the need to adhere to more stringent
emission regulations, helped turbo chargers evolve from
a luxury to an almost necessity. This increase in demand
soon made turbo chargers more affordable to the masses
and the turbo charger phenomenon was a permanent fixture
in the automotive and aeronautical industries.
Whether you want a turbo charger for
the added power, increased savings, or a combination
of the two, we offer a wide range of turbo chargers
